Aim
To help the young Christian to discover the need for, the importance of prayer and also to learn how to pray.

14. There are different kinds of prayer that every disciple must acquaint himself with. In this prayer, Jesus taught His disciples how to pray different kinds of prayer.

Prayer: Ask God to give you the grace to pray always without ceasing and the faith to receive the answers.
Lesson 7: Prayer- 2
Biblical teachings on prayer reveal patterns that help us pray according to God's will. One such pattern, ACTS – an acronym for Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication/Intercession – is pretty much effective.
Aim
To introduce the young Christian to the ACTS pattern of prayer.

A. Adoration: Read Psalm 150 and Revelation 4:9-11.
1. What does the Psalm writer call on all people to do?
2. Can you identify some things for which God should be praised?
3. In what ways can we express our praises to God?
B. Confession: Read Isaiah 59:1-2; 1 John 1:9.
4. What hinders God from acting on our prayers?

6. What has God promised to do when we confess our sins?
C. Thanksgiving: Read 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.

Prayer: Thank God for His promises to hear and answer when His children pray. Ask for the Holy Spirit’s help to know how to pray without ceasing.
Lesson 8: Fellowship
Aim
To teach the believer the importance of fellowship with other believers.

Hebrews 10:24-25; Romans 12:4-5; 1 Corinthians 12:12, 14, 21; Acts 2:42-47.

A. Read Hebrews 10:24-25.
1. What have Christians been asked not to neglect?
2. What is the purpose of Christians meeting together?
3. In what ways can we encourage one another?
4. How can we do this when we neglect fellowship?
5. What harm do we do ourselves and others when we neglect fellowship?
B. Read Romans 12:4-5.
6. Why does the passage say we belong to each other and each of us needs all the others?
7. Which of your body parts has been isolated from the others?
8. If any part is isolated, what will happen to your body?
9. What are those who isolate themselves doing to the body of Christ?
10. Can you contribute your spiritual gifts to the body of Christ when you neglect fellowship?

11. Can any member of the body of Christ be considered redundant?

Lesson 9: Holy Spirit
Aim
To help the new believer discover, through the Scriptures, that the gift of the Holy Spirit is a promise to all who believe in Christ and that a Christian, in his walk, must constantly be filled with the Holy Spirit and also produce the fruit of the Spirit.

Prayer: Thank God for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Pray and confess any sin in your life and ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit, according to His promise.
Lesson 10: Witnessing
Aim
To help the young Christian to discover, through the Scriptures, the important duty of every Christian: witnessing, and show him how to share his faith with others.

Acts 1:8; Rom. 10:14-17; Matt. 28:18-20; 1 Cor. 15:1-5.

A. Read Acts 1:8.
1. What were the disciples charged to do after they received the Holy Spirit and power?
2. Where were they to start witnessing?

5. What is necessary to do if all men are to be in the right relationship with God?
6. How do people get faith?
7. Whose duty is it to preach Christ?

8. What exactly is Christ asking His disciples to go and do?

D. Witnessing simply means sharing the Gospel in the power of the Holy Spirit and leaving the results to God.
