Lesson 11: God the Father
Attributes of God

Aim
To help the new believer know who God is, His works and relationship with His creation, especially man who is created in His image and likeness.

A. Read Acts 17:24-34.
1. Who is the creator and owner of the universe? (verse 25)
2. Why is God self-sufficient? (verse 25)
3. Is God concerned about His creation? How? (verse 26)
4. What does God expect from the people He created? (verse 27; Psalm 148:2, 11-13)
5. What do you understand by “in Him we live, move and have our being”? (verse 28)
6. Why does God command all people to repent? (verse 31)

Lesson 12: God the Son
The Attributes of God, The Son
Like the Father, God the Son is Omnipotent (Matthew 28:18), Omniscient (John 2:24; 16:30), Omnipresent (John 3:13; 14:20);
2. Worthy of Worship (Matthew 4:9, 10). Scripture refers to Him as God (Psalm 45:6-7; Acts 7:59; Colossians 1:15-17; Jude 1:25),

He is called the Second Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45), the Anointed One (Psalm 2:2), Begotten of the Father (John 1:14), Bridegroom (Matthew 9:15), Bright Morning Star (Revelation 22:16), Cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20), Deliverer (Romans 11:26), Emmanuel (Matthew 1:23), Faithful Witness (Revelation 1:5; 3:14), Friend of Sinners (Matthew 11:19), etc. (For further information read Soul-Winning Resources, Vol. 3, p. 41.)
Aim
To help the new believer know who Jesus is in relation to the Father and His works, especially that of reconciliation.

Lesson 13: Water Baptism
Aim
To incorporate the new believer into the body of Christ through the sacrament of baptism, demonstrating an end to the old lifestyle with the world and beginning a new lifestyle in the community of believers in Christ.

Prayer Pray that water baptism, which signifies death to sin and resurrection to a new way of life of righteousness and holiness, becomes a true experience in the life of all baptized believers.
Lesson 14: Personal Deliverance
Deliverance simply means release from the captivating power of sin, demonic influence and control, curses, and anything that enslaves.
Aim
To allow the new Christian to renounce ancestral curses, self-imposed occultic bondages, demonic influence or control, or anything that holds him in bondage to Satan.

Lesson 15: Holy Spirit Baptism
Aim
To help the new Christian experience the infilling of the Holy Spirit (Holy Spirit baptism) and stay filled every day.

A. Read Acts 2:38.
1. According to Peter, who qualifies for Holy Spirit baptism or infilling?
2. Can unrepentant unbelievers be baptized in the Holy Spirit? a. Why not?
B. Read Acts 1:5, 8.
3. According to verse 5, who was promised the Holy Spirit baptism?
4. What are they to receive when the Holy Spirit comes upon them?
5. What is the purpose of the Spirit’s baptism?
6. Have you been so baptized? a. Have you become a witness of Christ?

Note: The Gentiles were baptized in the Holy Spirit as Peter ministered to them and were later baptized in water.

12. Can one then be baptized in water after repentance, before receiving the Holy Spirit baptism? (Acts 8:15-17)
